Hot cure Prepregging epoxy system L-238 is a semi-solid multifunctional epoxy novolac resin with superior chemical resistance. When cured with selected hardeners, these products provide excellent elevated temperature properties and superior chemical resistance. Lapox® L-238 is a multifunctional epoxidized phenol novolac resin with functionality 3.6. Hardener K-10 is available in the form of a fine powder, off-white in color. Pre-impregnates produced using this hardener are relatively stiff and non-tacky, and, therefore, find application in simple, curve-shaped or flat sheet products. Accelerator/Hardener K-86 is supplied in the form of crystalline powder. It can be used either as a hardener or in small dosages or as an accelerator to reduce the prolonged curing schedule.
